She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Monroe and Alma Gaynell Cartrett Hartsell; her husband Clyde Marshall Howell; her siblings, Mitchell, Michael Hartsell and Becky Eudy; and her great grandchild Abby Faith Burleson.

She is survived by: her children, Martha Chapman (Chucky) of Norwood, Doug Howell (Sandy) of Norwood and Lynn Howell of South Carolina; her grandchildren, LeAnne Hicks (Jason Frashure), Ashley Burleson (Kelly), Chris Howell (Joni), Dana Lowder (Kim), Clinton Morgan (Shelby) and Justin Lisenby; her great grandchildren, Hunter (Ashlyn), Trey, Maddie, Chase, Madison, Tristan, Carson and Cameron; and her siblings, Audrey Hartsell (Ronnie) and Roger Hartsell (Wanda).
