Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Jean Thompson of Norwood, North Carolina, born in Raeford, North Carolina, who passed away at the age of 93, on July 13, 2021. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Preston and Pauline Raper Hawfield; her husbands, Douglas Merritt York, Sr., James Erving Hill and Roy Banks Thompson; her son Douglas Merritt York, Jr.; her stepsons, James Erving Hill, Jr. and Boyce Eugene Thompson; and her siblings, Houston Hawfield and Louise Lozier.
She is survived by: her children, James Paul Hill (Ann) of Washington, NC and Claudia Hill Lang (Bill) of River View, FL; and her stepdaughter-in-law Anna Thompson of Albemarle. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, 10 step grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
