She was predeceased by: her parents, Sam Modlin and Annie Bell Beacham Modlin; her husband William Johnny Knox; her son Sherman William Knox; and her siblings, Nathan Modlin, Luther Modlin, Church Modlin, Tilman Modlin, Gilbert Modlin, Kathleen Barber, Estelle Hardison and Fannie Haynes.
She is survived by: her siblings, Dallas Modlin of Jamesville, NC, Adron Modlin (Gail) of Jamesville, NC, Lola Williams of Greenville, NC, Rachel Roberson (Jakie) of Williamston, NC and Sudie Reason (Jimmy) of Williamston, NC. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
