She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Herman, Bonnie Smith, Juanita and David Lewis; and her aunt Ann Smith Tate.
She is survived by: her sons, Jacob Earnhardt and Adam Earnhardt; the father of her children Tommy Earnhardt; her granddaughter Bryleigh Earnhardt of Norwood, NC; her parents, Martha L. Matthews of New Bern, NC and Robert J. Smith (Nancy) of Matthews, NC; her siblings, Rebecca Smith Whitley (Tim) of Charlotte, NC, Melissa Smith Morgan (David) of Waxhaw, NC and Todd Plyler (Kristin Wagoner); her niece Amber Whitley Allensworth (Bob); her great-nephews, Grant and Harrison; her nephew Michael Whitley (Lauren); her niece Mary Catherine Whitley (Chase Outen); her uncle David L. Lewis, Jr. (Brenda); her cousins, Laura Wheeler (Jim), Robin Lewis Wright, John Tate (Kelly) and Joanna Lewis Hall (Josh); and also, James W. Lewis, Dewey (Skip) and Sylvia Kuster.
