It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Viola Mae Daugherty of North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, who passed away on June 4, 2023, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Preston Sexton and Emma Viola Walls Sexton; her siblings, Nettie Sexton Staley and Richard "Buck" Sexton; and her granddaughter Robyn Daugherty.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra Roten of Moravian Falls, Ronald Daugherty (Connie) of Ohio and John Daugherty of North Wilkesboro; and her sister Virginia Means of Texas. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
