He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Junior Sparks and Shirley Ann Holbrook Sparks; and his brother Leslie Neal Sparks. He is survived by: his children, Annette Collins (Michael Jr) of North Wilkesboro, Nikki Mabe (Derek) of Stokes, Kenneth Sparks of North Wilkesboro, Sidney Sparks Jr. (Sarah) of Tallahassee and Robert Sparks (Amanda) of Mt. Airy; and his siblings, Donna Sheeler of North Wilkesboro and Rodney Sparks (Denise) of Millers Creek. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to Adams Funeral Home of Wilkes, P.O. Box 396 Moravian Falls NC, 28659 for final expenses.
