She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Frank Holland and Mattie Goodman Holland; her daughter Pam Lyon; and her brother Tommy Holland. She is survived by: her sons, Roy Deskins of Winston-Salem and Kevin Deskins (Melissa) of North Wilkesboro; her siblings, Harold Holland (Ernestine) of North Wilkesboro, Ruth Caudle of Wilkesboro, Polly Brannock (Jason) of Wilkesboro and Frankie Caudle of Millers Creek; and her grandchildren, Jacob Lyon, Joseph Deskins and Katie Duke. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
