It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sarah Dowell Coles of North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, who passed away on February 16, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Gwyn and Ruby Dowell; her husband Edward Coles; her sons, Michael Tyrone Coles and Paul Andre Coles; and her siblings, Mary Evans, Corrine Beckton, Colleen Parks and Jack Dowell.

She is survived by: her children, Diane Kimber of North Wilkesboro, William Coles (Debbie) of North Wilkesboro, Kenneth Coles (Micheline) of Wilkesboro, Janice Parks (Luther) of Wilkesboro, Rebecca Coles of North Wilkesboro, Robert Coles of North Wilkesboro, Ernest Coles (Pamela) of North Wilkesboro and Ruby Coles of North Wilkesboro; and her brother James Dowell (Shirley) of Columbus, Ohio. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
