He is survived by: his children, Roy Stephen Shepherd, Jr. (Kaitlyn Danielle Hawkins), Scott Laws of Wilkesboro, Jake Dancy of North Wilkesboro and Lynn Shepherd Stipe (Ronald) of Concord; his siblings, James Shepherd of Florida and Anne Benge (Kenny) of Millers Creek; and his grandchildren, Conner Stipe, Landon Stipe, Thomas Stipe, Courtney Milea Shepherd (Henry Caicedo), Jaydon Stephen Shepherd and Kloe Nicole Watson.
