He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Merl and Rita Barnette Goforth; and his siblings, Raynard, Merl Goforth, Lucille Jones (Bill), Aletta Grayson (Jay) and Melba Cheek (Jim).
He is survived by: his son Robert Derek Goforth (Marie Masterson) of Hudson Falls; his siblings, Allie Goforth (Helen) of Purlear and Hazel Powell of North Wilkesboro; and his sisters-in-law, Ruth Goforth of Ferguson and Doris Goforth of Ferguson.
