It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Lee Davenport Sr. of North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, who passed away on October 6, 2022, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Nellie Bernice Davenport Allen; and his aunts and uncles, Jimmy, John, Richard, Priscilla, Shirley, Harriet and Rose.
He is survived by: his father Alton Jacob Allen of Roaring River; his children, Stephanie Davenport of Lenoir, Crystal Davenport of North Wilkesboro and Robert Davenport, Jr. of Greensboro; his wife Sheila Glenn Davenport of North Wilkesboro; his brother Gary Davenport of Charlotte; his grandchildren, Brandon Goodson, Leonard Norwood, Jr. and Londiin Norwood; his aunt Sarah Williams of Wilkesboro; and his uncle Rev. Simon Davenport of Winston-Salem.
