It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Presley Burgess (North Wilkesboro, North Carolina), who passed away on May 20, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roby Harrison and Linnie Jane Absher Burgess; his siblings, Ora Lee McGinnis, Nora Dale Faw, Grace Prevette, Geneva Faw and Arthur Burgess; and his son-in-law Jay Shew.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Dare Hutchinson Burgess; his children, Venetia Shew of North Wilkesboro and David Burgess of North Wilkesboro; his grandchildren, Adam Shew (Stephanie) and Amanda Chambers (Kenneth); and his great grandchildren, McKinley, Sadie, Jackson, Jase and Jaylee.
