It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nancy Branscome Simmons of North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, who passed away on December 27, 2020, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lacy Wade and Verda Hamm Branscome; her husband Phoy B. Simmons, Jr.; her sister Bobbye Jean Simmons; and her sons-in-law, Greg Newman and Eddie Blackburn.
She is survived by: her daughters, Debbie Shelton, Sharon Shoupe (Eddie) and Annette Blackburn; her grandchildren, Matthew Holbrook (Erin), Andrew Holbrook, Samantha Comer (Josh), Allison Newman, Dillon Shoupe, Caleb Shoupe, Sarah Shoupe, Fain Barker (Josh) and Jamie Blackburn (Olivia); her niece Cathy Macemore; and her nephew David Simmons.
Due to covid-19, the family will have a private graveside service at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery with a memorial at a later date.
