He is survived by: his mother Lena Brown Brookshire; his son David Jacob Wyatt Brookshire "Petey" (Olivia); his wife Bunny; his sister Flaxen Brookshire Reid; his son Eric Lee Brookshire; and his grandchildren, Dawson, Parker, Wyatt and Cayden Brookshire.
