He is survived by: his wife Shirley Porter Whitley; his son David William Whitley (Lisa) of Millers Creek; his grandchildren, Austin Whitley and Logan Whitley; and his siblings, Dallie Vinson of Lexington and Jessie Whitley of Traphill.
