It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Aleck Hurt of North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, born in Henderson, North Carolina, who passed away on January 21, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Hurt and Annie McDowell Hurt; and his brother Dwayne Hurt. He is survived by: his wife Debbie Fox Hurt; his children, Josh Hurt of Phoenix, Jenny Lentz, Scot Brown of North Wilkesboro and Jared Hurt of East Bend; and his grandchildren, Carson Lentz, Logan Gilreath, Greyson Lentz, Caitlin Hurt, Dylan Hurt, Cameron Garris of Nathan Hurt, A. J and Madison Hurt.
