He was predeceased by: his parents, Monroe Jesse Hicks and Rachel Jean Coleson Hicks. He is survived by: his children, Amanda Jones (Emerson) of North Wilkesboro, Carolyn McHone (Dwayne) of Mt. Airy, Jackie Ray Hicks (Stephanie) of New York and Jeffery Michael Hicks of New York; and his siblings, Lisa Hicks of Mt. Airy, Jesse Hicks (Laurie) of Dobson and Tony Hicks of Mt. Airy. He is also survived by 6 grand children.
