He was predeceased by: his parents, James W. Brooks and Eleanor Deal Brooks. He is survived by: his wife Debbie Davis Brooks; his siblings, Carol Osborne of North Wilkesboro, Judy Canter (F. D.) of North Wilkesboro, Becky Huffman (Ken) of North Wilkesboro, Sandra Brooks of North Wilkesboro, Jimmy Brooks, Lewis Brooks (Charlotte) and Keith Brooks of North Wilkesboro; and his siblings-in-law, Pat and Ray Greene of Anderson, SC. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
