She was predeceased by: her spouse Arba Roberts; her parents, John Sherman and Lila Benton Mathis; and her siblings, Allene Pierce, Ora Johnson, Hazel Hendren, Aralee Johnson, John Mathis, Woodrow Mathis, Dean Mathis, Gwyn Mathis and James Mathis.
She is survived by: her sister Sallie Johnson of North Wilkesboro. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
