He was predeceased by: his parents, John Pearl and Ethel Elizabeth Garris Owens; and his siblings, Betty Brock, Raymond and Phillip Owens.
He is survived by: his children, Everette Owens, Jr. (Anna) of Newton, Gina Holloway (Frankie) of Hays and Dina Gibson of Charleston; his brother Roy Owens of North Wilkesboro; his grandchildren, Shena Owens, Stephanie Owens, Selena Morrison, Brian Holloway, Kim Holloway Call, Heather Holloway, Cody Gibson and Austin Gibson; his great grandchildren, Lydia Owens and Bailey Morrison; his sister-in-law Willa Dean Owens; his niece Cindy Owens Garrett (William); and his nephews, Tim Brock, Timmy Brock, Bradley Brock, Cody Brock and Kenny Brock.
