She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Thurmond and Hattie Hart Sheets; her husband John Franklin Rogers; her brothers, Jewel Sheets, Harold Sheets and James Sheets; her granddaughter Debbie Lunsford; and her great grandchild Eli Hutchens.
She is survived by: her daughters, Marie Riggs of North Wilkesboro and Betty Calhoun (David) of Todd; her grandchildren, Steven Lunsford of North Wilkesboro, Lisa Barlow (Chad) of North Wilkesboro, Karen Lunsford of Purlear, Matthew Calhoun of Todd and Justin Calhoun of Todd; her brother Jerry Sheets (Pansy) of North Wilkesboro; and her close friend Jennifer King. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren; one great great grandson.
