With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edna Betty Rhoades Roland (North Wilkesboro, North Carolina), who passed away on February 28, 2024 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Clay Roland; her parents, John'Yank'Rhoades and Maude Mayberry Rhoades; her stepfather Ernest Blevins; and her sisters, Argyle Byrd, Annie-Belle Rhoades and May Baugess.
She is survived by: her grandsons, Gregory Brian Martin (Carolyn) of Hays and Gary Christopher Martin (Maja) of Raleigh; and her great grandchildren, Jackson Clay Martin, Landon Chase Martin of Hays, Ava Marie Martin of Raleigh, Ella Rae Martin of Raleigh and Noah Christopher Martin of Raleigh.
Flowers will be accepted or in lieu of flowers, donations are welcomed to Bethel Baptist Church, PO Box 679, Hays, NC 28635 as a tribute to Edna's lifelong passion for the work of her church in the community.
