She was predeceased by: her parents, Harrison Hamby and Roxie Green Hamby; her former husband Lance Travis Hamby; her husband Roscoe Charlie Benton; her daughter Barbara Hamby Ledford; her son-in-law Jack, Sr.; and her siblings, Beatrice Hamby Triplett, Rose Hamby Eller, Kay Frances Huffman, Garland Hamby, Willard Hamby and Luther Hamby.
She is survived by: her children, Shirley Hamby Coates of Supply, Lydia Hamby Walsh (Nicky) of Millers Creek, Robin Benton Eastridge (Kenny) of North Wilkesboro and Burl Travis Hamby (Janice) of North Wilkesboro; her grandchildren, Annette Gambill (Randy), Jack Ledford, Jr. (Misty), Natalie Eller (Glenn), James Weeks, Jr., Doug McClure, Jr. (Linda), Derry Miller (Jeremy), Megan Gambill (David), Kelly Nichols (Jonathan), Courtney Waddell (Jimmy) and Lara Eastridge; her great grandchildren, Eric Gambill, Adam Gambill, Ashton Ledford, Riley Ledford, Carson Ledford, Ansley Jarvis, Lance Weeks, Marissa Weeks, Jeri McClure, Kayla Clark, Olivia Meyerhoffer, Tyler Gambill, Landon Gambill, Cassie Gambill, Jona Nichols, Caleb Nichols and Easton Waddell; her great great grandchildren, Braxton Collins and Grayson Snow; her siblings, Reba Hamby Triplett of Milers Creek, Bennie Hamby Johnson of North Wilkesboro and Wayne Hamby (Norma) of North Wilkesboro; and her extended family Amber Grose.
