Dessie Whitley Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 31, 2020, at the age of 83, Dessie Whitley of North Wilkesboro, North Carolina passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Dessie Whitley to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Buster Royal Whitley; her parents, Clarence Handy and Maetokie Shumate Handy; her children, Sherry Renee Whitley and Kenny Buster Whitley; and her siblings, Martha Whitley and Hubbard Handy.
She is survived by: her children, Kathy Ann Lacks (Tom) of Hays, Brenda Kaye Taylor (Sammy) of McGrady, Linda Gail Myers (Rodney) of North Wilkesboro, Denny Hubbard Whitley (Maria) of McGrady and David Dwayne Whitley (Ann) of North Wilkesboro; and her sisters, Gladys Bell, Delcie Billings of North Wilkesboro and Mary Shumate of Traphill. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren.
