He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Clark and Sarah Barnes Jackson; his grandmother Liz Clark; and his brothers, Peter Barnes and William Barnes.
He is survived by: his sons, Eric Dobson (Shea) of Mt. Airy, Jason Barnes of Winston-Salem, Jeremey Barnes (Julia Brown) of North Wilkesboro and Jordan Barnes of Wilkesboro; his siblings, Althea Howell (Ronald) of Boomer, Rosetta Barnes of Taylorsville, Saretta Jackson of Wilkesboro and Vincent Barnes of Wilkesboro; and his friend Hazel Barnes.
