He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Everette and Alma Burcham Wood; his wife Virginia Carolyn Wood; and his son Jeffrey Grant Wood. He is survived by: his daughters, Jennifer Hamby (William) of North Wilkesboro and Misty Sheets of Rigby, Idaho; and his siblings, Matilla "Toots" Perkins (Sammy) of Roaring River and Jessie Wood of Roaring River. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
