He is survived by: his wife Carol Bowers Pruitt of North Wilkesboro; and his children, James Dean Ross of North Wilkesboro, Kenny Dean Pruitt of Roaring River, Allen Pruitt (Martha) of Roaring River, Bucky Pruitt (April) of Mulberry, Shirley Plemons (David) of Glade Valley and Betty Roten (Tim) of North Wilkesboro.
