She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Huie and Zelma Huie; and her siblings, Richard Huie (Rex) and Emalee Staley. She is survived by: her sons, Raymond Hayes, Jr. (Anita) of North Wilkesboro and Tony Hayes (Amy) of Moravian Falls; her grandsons, Ezekiel Hayes (Zeke) and Cole Hayes; her stepgrandchildren, Shaina and Matthew Reins; and her niece Linda Minton (Jimmy). She is also survived by several other nieces, nephews and cousins.
Betty Ann Huie Dillard, age 81, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, October 9, 2022, after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Betty was born on May 9, 1941 in Wilkes County.
