She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Nelson and Betty Taylor Nelson; and her siblings, Lucille Triplett and Robert Nelson. She is survived by: her close friend R. Wayne Benge; her daughters, Robin of Phoenix, AZ and Drinda of Morrisville, NC; and her sisters, Marie Dameron (Ricky Dameron) and Brenda Hager (Steve Hager). She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends.

She generously donated supplies and quilts to the Wilkes Pregnancy Crisis Center and DSS.
