She was predeceased by: her parents, James Harvey and Mary Campbell Pennell of Moravian Falls; her husband Charles Horton Absher Jr.; her daughter Barbara Absher Eldridge; and her siblings, Mary Ann Pennell Dancy and Buford Lee Pennell.
She is survived by: her son Charles Alan Absher (Diane) of Wilkesboro; her grandchildren, Jared Absher, Ethan Absher and Seth Absher; her great grandchildren, Zachary Absher, Benjamin Absher, Tristan Absher and Matias Simpson; and her sister Linda Pennell Billings of Greensboro.
