She was predeceased by: her father Bill Allen; her husband Joseph Odell Smithwick Sr.; and her brother John B. Allen (Violet). She is survived by: her mother Gladys Allen; her children, Maria Smith, Howard Allen Smithwick (Robin) and Joseph Odell Smithwick Jr.; her siblings, Ina Allen Moore, Inez Allen Quinn and Thomas Allen (Sue); and her grandson Tyler Joseph Smithwick. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
