She was predeceased by: her parents, Archie Buck and Anna Ellis Buck; her children, Rachel Chappell (Bevan), Timothy Chappell and Mark Chappell; and her sister Marie Lyons.

She is survived by: her grandson Luke Chappell; her husband Donald Chappell; her children, Donna Chappell of Kingsport, TN, Tami Johnson (Randy) of Newland, NC, Tommie Turbyfill (Steve) of Newland, NC, Kelly Perry (Gordon) of Bath, NC and Eddy Buchanan (Tammy) of Newland, NC; her siblings, Clara Perry (Joe) of Banner Elk, NC and Harry Buck (Tommie) of Johnson City, TN; her children, Joe Buchanan (Heidi), Mickey Buchanan, Jessica Buchanan, Whitney Putney (Martin), Corey Perry (Danielle), Chris Chappell (Stephanie), Jake Chappell, Nathan Chappell, Zack Johnson (Casi), Eli Johnson (Amanda), BJ Johnson (Dudley) and Carroel Baker; and her grandchildren, Shelby Blake, Gunner, Emmy Boster, Harper Buchanan, Daisy, Zeke, Sadie Johnson, Ayden, Easton, Brynlee Putney, Brooklyn Williams, Gabriel, Edward and Archer Chappell. She is also survived by Great grandchildren.
