She was predeceased by: her parents, Clell Watson and Dorothy McKinney Watson; her husband Charles Freeman; and her brother Stephen McKinney. She is survived by: her children, Kim Phillips (Jeff) of Plumtree and Todd Freeman of Newland; her grandsons, Jacob Freeman (Kelli) of Honea Path, SC and Chandler Freeman of Sanford; her sister Janis Reel (Leroy) of Nebo; her sister-in-law Tammy McKinney of Spruce Pine; and her aunts, Carolyn McKinney of Spruce Pine, Flo McKinney of Marion and Ruth Smitherman of Cranberry.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of the Blue Ridge at 236 Hospital Drive, Spruce Pine, NC 28777, or Caregiver's Haven, in care of Avery County Senior Center at P.O.
