He was predeceased by: his parents, Dempster H. Belk Jr. and Thelma Adams Belk; and his brother Lacy Michael Belk of San Antonio, Texas.. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Isaacs Belk; his son Jonathan Gary Belk (Kim) of San Francisco, CA.; his stepsons, Daniel Quick (Cindy) and David Quick Jr.; his half-siblings, Mark Belk (Dean Belk) of Springfield, VA., Bonnie Belk of Westminster, SC. and Susan Belk Humphrey of Mooresville, NC.; his stepbrother Lamar Garrett of Westminster, SC; his stepmother Ethelin Stencil; his grandchildren, Lucas Schmitt Belk and Elizabeth Schmitt Belk; and his stepgrandchildren, Kaylee Criscione, Kendall Weiss and Karis Quick.
