It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alva Lee Webb Twiggs of Newland, North Carolina, who passed away on November 27, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Webb and Viola Osborne Webb. She is survived by: her husband Brown Twiggs; her brothers, Charlie, Roy and Billy Webb; her daughter-in-law Sonna Twiggs; her grandson Johnathon Twiggs; her children, Ronnita McKinney (Dewayne) of Spruce Pine, Donna Wilson (Steve) of Rising Sun, MD, Genene Turbyfill of Newland and Tommy Twiggs of Licklog; her grandchildren, Dale McKinney, James Hughes (Stephanie) and James Turbyfill (Kelly); her siblings, Evelyn Hughes of Roaring Creek and Barney Webb (Ann) of Cranberry; and her sister-in-law Carolyn Hughes of Roaring Creek. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren; three great, great-grandchildren.
