He is survived by: his children, Sherelene Simmons Braswell of Goldsboro, Reginald Antonio Simmons (Millicent) of Goldsboro, Sharon Simmons of Goldsboro and Patricia of South Carolina; and his sisters, Christine Monk (James) of Fayetteville and Barbara Richardson of Tennesse. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren.
