It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peggy Lane Jernigan (Mount Olive, North Carolina), who passed away on June 10, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Harvey S. Jernigan; her son Harvey Stephen Jerniga, Jr.; her parents, Raymond Lane and Lola Mae Tillman Lane; and her brothers, John Lane and Jimmy Lane.
She is survived by: her children, Kim Thornton (Ted) of Mount Olive, Connie Barnett (Kirk) of Dudley and Gary Jernigan of Dudley; her sister Faye Davis of Mount Olive; and her grandchildren, Ashley, Bryce HOlmes, Jessica, Chris Byrd, Tiffany, Raymond Blalock, Little Gary Jernigan, Steven Jernigan, Melonie Jernigan and Kayla Elizabeth Thornton. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
