She was predeceased by: her husband George Peel Smith; her parents, Jesse Bryant Roberts and Lila Swinson Roberts; and her brothers, Adrian Ray Roberts, Boyden Pierce Roberts, Wayne B. Roberts and Wyatt E. Roberts.
She is survived by: her sons, Jesse Peel Smith (Sharon) and Tim W. Smith (Lynne); her grandchildren, Erin Smith Thoma (Jeremy) of Sneads Ferry, William Smith of Mount Olive, Noel Smith of Greenville, Hannah Smith Brock (Ethan) of Mount Olive and Melissa Ann Smith of Mount Olive; her great grandchildren, Eleanor Thoma and Jeremiah Thoma of Sneads Ferry; and her siblings-in-law, Jim Smith of Clayton, Marie Roberts of Mount Olive and Lillie Smith Jones of Mount Olive. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
