He was predeceased by: his children, Kim Marie Bell, Debbie Irene Bell, Pamela Dawn Bell and Jason Lee Bell; his parents, Beacher W. Bell and Haidee Blizzard Kornegay Bell; and his siblings, Kenneth Bell, Thurston Bell, Horace Kornegay, Chester Kornegay and Rachel Lee Kornegay Pate.
He is survived by: his wife Laura Ann Benoit Bell; and his children, Jesse Charles Bell, Jr. of Virginia, Richard Bronson Bell of Virginia, Sherry Norris of Virginia, Reva Marie Marsh of La Grange, Tasha Benoit Hill of Seven Springs and Camille Ann Jones of Kinston. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren.
