Oates Jr. (Sharon) of Dudley and Jerrica Oates of Dobbersville; his grandchildren, Shakala Willims, Wantina Oates, Laetitia Pugh (Albert), Tierra Jackson, Destiny Melton and Harisha Williams; his great grandchildren, Derrick McDougal II, Renville Vann III, Helena Pugh-Yeboah and Aubree Pugh-Yeboah; his siblings, Nadine Oates, Ruby Boseman of Goldsboro, Joyce Davis of Maryland, Peggy Anderson of New Jersey and Keith Adam Wolfe (Lorise) of Maryland; and his sisters-in-law, Louise Williams, Doris Atkinson (Alvin), Sarah Weeks, Emma Draughon, Mary Judd and Rachel Meeks (James). He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
