He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles "Charlie" C. and Virginia Saunders Harris; and his siblings, Howard "Bud" Douglas Harris, Candis Hunsucker, Betty Lemons, Barbara Hunsucker, Mary Lorena "Chirpy" Smith and Sue Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Faye Flowers Harris; his children, Chuck Harris (Melanie) of Huntersville, Josh Harris of Greensboro and Jessica Garton (Brad) of Huntersville; his stepdaughter Sandy Criscoe-Bruinsma (Jeffery) of Troy; and his sisters, Kay Wells of Columbia, SC, Joanne Sides Huntley of Harrisburg and Martha Todd of Charlotte. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
