She was predeceased by: her parents, Geree Smith and Bessie Whisnant Smith; her husband Claude Norwood; her daughter Angie Moses; her grandson Allan Plymale; and her children-in-law, Debbie Dyson and Bud Cox.
She is survived by: her children, Pamela Cox (Barry Spurling), Bobby Dyson and Anita Dyson; and her sisters, Geralene Hughes of Morganton and Nita Clark of Morganton. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
