He is survived by: his children, Lauren Abernethy (Michael) of St. Leonard, MD, Ashley McLeod of Amherst, VA, Courtney Nunnally of Midlothian, VA and Travis Jones (Hillary) of Apex, NC; his grandchildren, Seth Nunally, Clara Jones, Chase Vega, Granger Jones, River Nunally, Ahsha Dixon, Jackson Abernethy and Hilton Jones; and his sisters, Mary C. Oliver (Garry) and Kerry Smith (Tony).
