She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Holmes Basnight and Maxine Ballance Basnight. She is survived by: her son Lee (Tiffany); her grandchildren, Lily Gwen and Hudson; her sister Melva (Johnny); and her nephews, Jeffrey (Jenn) and Bart.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mount Olivet United Methodist Church Children's and Youth Ministries.
