He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Leigh, Sr. and Edna Marie Williams Lewis; his brother Cecil Lamar Lewis; his son-in-law Seth Hicks; and his mother-in-law Annie Hollowell.
He is survived by: his wife Faye Hines; his daughters, Kimberly L. Hicks of Wake Forest and Susan L. Williams (Jason) of Fairfield; his grandchildren, Tiernan Grace Hicks, Scarlette Williams, Holden Williams, Lilah Williams and Emmett Williams; and his siblings, Wilbur Leigh "W. L." Lewis, Jr. (Janet) of Fairfield, William Hubert Lewis, Sr. (Ann) of Fairfield, Ronnie Lewis (Nancy) of Raleigh, Austin Ray Lewis (Tracy) of Engelhard and Edna Merita Spencer of Fairfield. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
