He is survived by: his wife Nancy Midgett Austin; his sons, Bernard Flowers Austin, Jr. and Leslie Elwood Austin; his grandsons, Davis Elwood Austin and Ryder Deane Austin; his siblings-in-law, Merlee Austin, Marjalene Thomas and Ted Midgett (Mona); and his friends, Reba, Micah, Olga, Alfreda, Taylor and Pamela. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
