He is survived by: his children, Gary Black of Maiden, Edsel (Sherry Black) of Catawba and Phyllis Black Yount of Conover; his grandchildren, Chad (Tiffany Yount) of Virginia, Jeremy (Kelly Black) of Maiden, Jason (Heather Black) of Maiden, Dr. Mitchell (Melissa Black) of Cary, Marty (Laura Black) of Georgia and Michelle (Brian Gasiorowski) of Charlotte; his great grandchildren, Madison Yount, Simmons Yount, Sullivan Yount, Jack Gasiorowski, Caleb Black, Hannah Black, Raegan Black, Camden Black, Collins Black, Noah Black, Lydia Black, William Black and Hallie Black; his siblings, Ford (Janice Black) of Catawba and Juanita Black Sherrill of Catawba; his sisters-in-law, Jean Black of Catawba and Betty Black of Conover; his sons, Andrew, Michael and David Keener of Stanley Numerous; and his nieces and nephews, Caregivers, Aisha Rendelmen, Nina Rome and Deborah Watts.
