It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Clifton Eggers Jr. of Maiden, North Carolina, who passed away on June 19, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Clifton and Josephine Newton Eggers, Sr.; his children, William "Skipper" Clifton Eggers, III and Marqueeta Eggers Johnson; and his siblings, Eugene Eggers and Lois Hyatt.
He is survived by: his children, Citabron C. Eggers (Stephanie) of Morganton, Sheila Helms (Rick) of Claremont and Billie Moore; his sister Louise Korn of Gastonia; and his close friend Grady Smith. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren.
