With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sarah Christine (McCaslin) Cowan of Maiden, North Carolina, born in Catawba, North Carolina, who passed away on January 27, 2021 at the age of 90. She was predeceased by: her parents, John D. McCaslin and Elsie Ikard McCaslin; her husband Forrest Omar Cowan; her children, Janet Cowan and Brad Cowan; and her brothers, Oneil McCaslin, Keith McCaslin, Joe McCaslin, Richard McCaslin and Wendell McCaslin.

She is survived by: her sons, John Bruce Cowan and Randy Forrest Cowan; her siblings, Jack F. McCaslin, Blair L. McCaslin and Carolyn M. Schronce; and her grandchildren, Ian Blackwell, Erin Hartsoe, April Blackwell, Chelsie Cowan and Randi Faye Cowan.
