He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Robert A. Ballard and Pearl A. Abernethy; his siblings, Alda Smith, Bertha Mae Cloninger, Macie Cora Wilkinson, Mary Ellen Jennings, Betty Smith, Claude Avery Ballard, Gilbert Ballard, Jack Ballard, Ralph Ballard and Daniel R. Ballard; his children, Sandra L. Ballard (Toney J. Frazier) of Boone and Alan R. Ballard (Judy B. Ballard) of Denver; and his grandchildren, Bobby Ballard (Amber W. Ballard) of Newton and Haley Withers. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, cousins.
